Unfortunately I missed the release of this great spirit due to being out of town for another whiskey event.  But I was lucky enough to find both bottles to try at the School House in Arvada, CO.  After speaking with Al Laws this past weekend he did share that Batch A is going to be replicated in the future.  From the picture above you can tell that Batch B (left) is darker in color than Batch A (right).  Batch B is probably my favorite, which seemed smoother than A in my opinion.  Nose for Batch B:  one might find caramel, charred oak, pepper, honey and floral notes.  The taste was smooth, of tobacco, caramel and vanilla notes.  This was a night and day difference from Batch A which had a smoother nose of butter and pepper and the taste of light caramel and a peppery finish.  We are definitely looking forward to see what great things come out of the next Wheated Whiskey (Batch A) that is produced.  Side note:  Keep watching for more great spirits to come out of Laws Whiskey House in the near future!  I know I will be!
